Opening Doors to Spring
Spring is a season of possibility, and across our schools, students are beginning to imagine what’s ahead.
From meeting professionals in their communities to exploring future careers, they’re building confidence, curiosity, and momentum for what comes next.
Here’s a look at how doors are opening this spring.
Greater Than team ready to welcome students into a day of exploration and inspiration at Alder Career Day!
Exploring What’s Possible
This month, students had the opportunity to explore a wide range of careers through hands-on, real-world experiences.
At Alder Elementary’s Career Day, younger students met professionals from across our community, learning about careers in healthcare, the arts, architecture, entrepreneurship, and more. These early experiences spark curiosity and help students begin to imagine the many paths their futures could take.
Hands-on learning in action—an Alder student explores media production with volunteers from Open Signal.
Meanwhile, students from Reynolds High School attended the NW Youth Careers Expo, where they connected directly with industry professionals and explored potential career pathways.

When students can see and interact with real-world opportunities, it builds confidence and helps turn possibility into direction.

Looking Ahead
There’s more to come this spring.
Students of all ages have already started visiting college campuses and will soon celebrate key milestones like promotions and graduation as the school year comes to a close.
Looking ahead to summer, our Bookmobile will once again bring books and resources directly into the community, helping students build strong reading habits beyond the classroom. And for our graduating seniors, the Senior Trip will offer a well-earned opportunity to celebrate their achievements and reflect on how far they’ve come.
We’re also excited to share that new corporate sponsorship opportunities will be launching soon—creating additional ways for partners to support students and engage with our work.
Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
Thank you for being part of the Greater Than community. Together, we’re helping students explore new possibilities, build confidence, and take meaningful steps toward their futures—one open door at a time.
